Type I, type II, and type 3 gaps in bundle-branch conduction.

چکیده
Gaps" in bundle-branch conduction were observed in three patients using the combined technic of premature atrial stimulation and His bundle recordings. In type I gap a complete LBBB pattern disappeared at shorter coupling intervals because the premature atrial impulses encountered enough delay at the A-V node to reach the left bundle branch after the end of its effective refractory period. When this occurred, the H,-H2 intervals

His Bundle electrogram in bundle-branch block.
SUMMARY Because a great majority of patients with chronic complete heart block have bilateral bundle-branch lesions, it becomes important to recognize earlier degrees of bilateral bundle-branch block. The H-V interval in the His bundle electrogram during unilateral bundle-branch block reflects the conduction primarily through the contralateral bundle branch, and thus the His bundle electrogram ...
متن کاملNature of the gap phenomenon in man.
The atrioventricular (AV) gap phenomenon occurs when the effective refractory period of a distal site is longer than the functional refractory period of a proximal site and when closely coupled stimuli are delayed enough at the proximal site to allow distal site recovery. According to previous studies, in type 1 gap, the distal site of block is distal to the His bundle (ventricular specialized ...
متن کاملElectrophysiologic studies on Mobitz type II second-degree heart block.
SUMMARY Experimental studies were carried out in animals with intracellular and extracellular electrodes used to record simultanieously from the atrium, atrioventricular (A-V) node, bundle of His, bundle branches, Purkinje fibers, and ventricles to deteimine the site of conduction delay and block in Mobitz type II second-degree heart block. Type II block with block occurring within the His-Purk...
متن کاملHistological studies on the conduction system in 8 cases of A-V conduction disturbances.
Clinicopathological correlation was made in 8 cases of various A-V conduction disturbances, which consisted of 2 cases of complete, 4 of advanced, I of 2: 1 A-V block and 1 of A-V nodal rhythm. Serial sections of the conduction system revealed 4 types in location of main lesions. Type I (necrosis and/or fibrosis of A-V node) was found in 2 cases with syphilitic endoarteritis and acute myocardia...
متن کاملExperimental evaluation of some controversial points regarding the A-V conduction disturbances in the clinical His bundle electrogram.
Although the recordings of the His potential have been shown to be very useful in the study of cardiac conduction and rhythm disturbances, there remain some problems regarding the clinical His bundle electrogram. Some of the studies were performed to solve in the perfused dog hearts and in situ dog hearts, and consequently the following results were obtained. In some experiments, recording of t...
